= Suggestions for contributions =

This page maintains a list of possible enhancements to !VirtualBox which are well-suited for external contributors, either because !InnoTek is not currently working on them or because they have been deemed of lower priority than other tasks. 

 * You are more than welcome to help with the [wiki:"Status: OS X" Mac OS X port].

 * Help with porting !VirtualBox to Solaris / !OpenSolaris

 * A FreeBSD port (and possibly OpenBSD and NetBSD)

 * On Linux, a D-Bus interface to our XPCOM API would ease desktop integration

 * A project to provide a direct Gnome desktop integration is about to start

 * We'd like to see a Web Services API implemented in .NET / Mono

 * Guest Additions for FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, OS/2, ...

 * Add the ability to mount host partitions / drives as guest drives

 * Support VMware disk images (VMDK) and Virtual PC image (VHD)

 * Make VDI hard disk images expandable (first check whether common guests would actually survive that operation)

 * Port legacy device drivers from QEmu to !VirtualBox (for example !SoundBlaster 16)
