Fedora16-Alpha 32-bit livecd is unuseable slow — at Version 1

Description (last modified by Frank Mehnert)

Running Fedora-16-Alpha (32it) livecd resuts in unuseable low performance. Boot takes several minutes, I aborted install-to-hdd after about 15 minutes at ~20%. I did a sysprof-profile which indicates ~80% of CPU time is spent in cleanup_module, called by SUPR3CallVMMR0Fast.

WinXP as guest runs in the same environment as expected.

What happens if you enable VT-x in your BIOS -- it is currently disabled, most probably by the BIOS. There must be some BIOS setting to enable virtualization, perhaps a BIOS update is necessary.
