FreeBSD guest freezes while doing ftp

Reported by: Mario Batista Owned by:
Component: network Version: VirtualBox 4.1.2
Keywords: briged Cc:
Guest type: BSD Host type: Windows

Description (last modified by aeichner)

In my Windows Vista installed FreeBSD 6.4 (32bit). The vm starts but if I try to transfer a file from Windows to FreeBSD the vm freezes. It's a bridge config and BSD gets the IP address through dhcp. Ping works fine before it freezes.

The same problem happens for 4.1.4 and 4.1.6

I have exact same problem with FreeBSD 9.1 as guest on host Microsoft SBS 2003.

Appears only to occur with the virtio network adapter and on 4.2.x (continued from 4.1.x). Would use the Intel network card but performance significantly degrades.
