VBOX doesnt see all USB devices at all

Description
Installed VirtualBox-4.1.2-73507-Win on windows 7 64bit SP1 EN. Installed addon Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.1.2-73507 after all - restarted host OS.
now enable USB & USB 2.0 support in VM settings. started VM -> should see my attached USB devices but see 'no USB devices connected'
Apparently my colleague has this accident in his Windows XP SP3 EN 32bit. 'no USB device connected'

Any change with VBox 4.1.4? There were some USB fixes related to Windows hosts.

what should i provide to resolve this trouble?
VBox VM log is insufficient here as it not saying any about USB host devices and list it....
