I installed a fresh copy of MS Windows XP inside VirtualBox on a Ubuntu Lucid host. Then I installed the Nokia software including drivers. After that, when I try to connect the phone via USB, it indicates the device "Nokia 5230 USB Parent" cannot be enabled by Windows.
I tried switching to another kernel version, 2.6.38 instead of 2.6.32 and I tried VirtualBox versions: 4.1.2, 4.0.12 and 3.2.12. All gave the same behaviour. I also tried it both with and without USB 2.0 support.
