VM doesn't start when switching network card type

When changing network card from NAT to bridge, if NAT was configured to have forwarded ports, the virtual machine won't start and will show this error:

"Unknown configuration node 'guestssh' found in the configuration of IntNet instance #0 (VERR_CFGM_CONFIG_UNKNOWN_NODE). Unknown error creating VM (VERR_CFGM_CONFIG_UNKNOWN_NODE)."

I can, however, switch the network card type to bridge once the VM has started in NAT mode.

I assume that you configured port forwarding with extra data. This is no longer necessary / supported with VBox 4.0. Just use the normal GUI features to setup port forwarding and remove your extradata items from the VM config.
