Disable Remote Display Tab and feature if ExtPack not installed => Fixed in SVN — at Version 1

After upgrading from 3.2.10 to 4.0.8 it took me a long time to realize why VRDP was not working. The Remote Display tab was functional and I could configure the RDP port and external authentication, but could not determine why RDP stopped working.
Finally finding this in the Log file I clued in:
VRDE: VirtualBox Remote Desktop Extension is not available.
I checked the change log and did not see mentioned the VRDP was stripped out and put into the ExtPack.
May I suggest Disabling the Features on the Remote Display Tab with a message to install the extension pack.
