win 7 x64 fails to load usb device

when i try and connect a usb flash drive the host starts to load the device driver then stops and says it was disconnect and when i try and have it hook up to the device again the VM locks up and i have to force close it from what i can tell this only happens on a machine with an AMD process since i have had this issue on 2 computers but i have not had this issue on any windows computer using a copy of the same machine with the same setting on an INTEL processor

strange issue just happened when i set up a filter for a flash drive it started working and worked correctly i then went back and remover the filter and the drive worked just fine to test this i used a another flash drive and it worked just fine as well now here is the strange thing it did not work before i did this and all i did was add the filter then remove it i even used the same usb port

Replying to Mr_Cool59: I think your issue is gone after the VBoxUSB device corresponding to your flash drive was once installed and configured successfully.
You could try another flash drive you did not ever successfully attach to a VBox VM on that host to see if the issue is reproducible for it, and if it is, please try a test build mentioned ​here to see if the issue is solved with it.
Keep in mind notes regarding the build stability mentioned ​there.

my issue came back upon updating vbox i had to set up a usb as a filter restart the computer remove the filter then it i then tried another usb drive and it did not work again from what i can it has to reinstall the usb driver for virtual box every time it updates

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.
