#8937 closed defect (fixed)
RAW drives larger than 2TB are not supported correctly

Description
I created a RAW disk VMDK for an Hitachi 3TB drive but on the guest it shows as a 750GB drive. Given that this value is also reported in the "virtual device name", it makes me believe that somewhere the number of sectors available is stored as UInt32 since the log file correctly reports the right number.

This works here with a recent release of VirtualBox, so probably fixed now. Please reopen if necessary.

This happens only for RAW drives attached to a virtual SATA controller. Attaching the drives to a virtual SCSI works fine.
