StarMoney 8.0 doesn't start in Windows Guest

I just installed the new StarMoney 8.0 release. Installation went fine, but starting it gives and error saying: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005).

It is already posted in some StarMoney Forum by other users: ... 02&t=22192

I'm not sure if it is a StartMoney or VirtualBox problem, so it might be a good idea to post it here too. StarMoney 7.0 still works without a any problems.

I'm using: openSUSE 11.4 32Bit, VirtualBox 4.0.4 and Windows XP SP3 as guest system

Any idea?

Please attach a VBox.log file for such a VM session.

Attached the VBox.log.

I just started the Windows XP guest, logged in as a user with admin rigths, started StarMoney 8, got the error and then shutdown the guest.

Most likely this problem has been fixed in VBox 4.0.6 guest additions:

Please try to install the additions.

I updated VirtualBox to 4.0.6 and also the guest additions. I didn't help, still get the same error. I'll attach a new VBox.log

Habe das gleiche Problem. Auch mit der neusten Version (4.0.8 Virtualbox + GuestAdds) läuft StarMoney 8.0 leider nicht!

Das StarFinanz-Team bietet ein Update auf Anfrage als Zwischenlösung, siehe

@Virtualbox-Team: Standort beider Firmen ist wohl Hamburg - vielleicht ließe sich das Problem direkt "vor Ort" klären!? :-)
