result: various error messages about corrupted files, broken checksums etc.


Host: Solaris 11, build 162, amd64, Toshiba Tecra M11, 4GB RAM
Guest: Solaris 11 Express (b151a), amd64, 1GB RAM

the guest is a default Solaris configuration with no adjustments. However same issue is seen with other virtual NICs, with VTx turned on/off, etc.

This concerns VirtualBox 4.0.4 only. The problem went away when I went back to 4.0.2.

Perhaps related is that from time to time I'm seeing display corruption there as well, e.g. part of a text in terminal is pixelized."	defect	closed	network	VirtualBox 4.0.4	fixed			Solaris	Solaris
