Description
I have a Huawei USB serial GSM modem (model E1750), also called "Surfstick" by O2. It is a so-called flip flop USB device that acts like a mass storage device on first plug in, but after installation of the software it registers as an USB modem. This behavior seems to work fine with VirtualBox, as the software can be installed and even the USB modem will show up afterwards. Nevertheless, it won't get recognized by the shipped software ("Mobile Partner") which could indicate a general problem of VirtualBox and such devices.
My guest OS is Windows XP SP3.
