Please could you attach your guest kernel config? I tried this with current Ubuntu 11.04 snapshot, works fine here. Is mounting the shared folder sufficient for you to trigger this guest kernel oops or what are you doing?

Sorry, it's not about kernel version at all.
First I start VirtualBox with normal user privilege.
$ VirtualBox
All works fine.
Then I start VirtualBox with root privilege.
$ sudo VirtualBox
create a virtual machine with the same virtual hard disk
The reported error occurs.
Host is Ubuntu 10.10 Linux ted-desktop 2.6.35-24-generic
Guest is Ubuntu 10.04 Linux ted-desktop 2.6.32-27-generic
