windows xp get frozen

Description
By startup a windows xp virtual machine(guest) it get frozen. Virtualbox tells me that there where not enough host memory, what is absolutety incorrect.

You have to consider that the host and the VirtualBox host are using memory as well. Assign no more than 50% of the available (not total) memory and see if it helps.
First: That is not the problem. There is also enough memory. And sometimes the virtual machine starts(20% of all cases and runs for 1-2 hours until it get frozen then. It is a stability bug. I have monitored the system several times. It is not a misconfiguration of mine.
Second: I can´t access the settings from the GUI(crashes every time: there is a separated ticket for that open) to modificate the memory allocation of the VM and I don´t want to figure out how to do it by command line.
