#7856 closed defect (obsolete)

Backgroud is not correctly redrawn in seamless mode multi monitor

Reported by: Alil Owned by:
Component: other Version: VirtualBox 3.2.12
Keywords: Cc:
Guest type: Windows Host type: Windows

Description (last modified by Frank Mehnert)

Host: Win7 x64
Guest: WinXP SP3 x86 with GA

2D and 3D are enabled
Host's primary monitor is on the left monitor, guest is in seamless mode on the right one. When I move or minimize guests window background is not correctly redrawn. I think there used invalid offset and it redraws from left (host) monitor edge, not the guests. So after guest's window minmize part off guest's background from the left is redrawn (guest's monitor is wider)

Bug is reproducible on VBox 4.0.2, here is screenshot.
Sorry for large image.
Left monitor is 1280x1024
Right monitor is 1920x1080

Bug is in 4.0.4 too. Actually this the only reason I don't use VBox's excellent seamless mode. And it looks like trivial too - one line fix (invalid offset) ;)

PS. I can test testcase builds if needed...

Even trivial fixes are welcome, as we don't always have time to follow up bugs on our bugtracker the way we would like to (especially given that not everyone on the team is equally knowledgeable about any given part of the software).
