Description (last modified by )
Ubuntu maverick host, with three physical desktops (ie, non-Xinerama) on two adapters. Desktops #1 and #3 are 1280x1024, but desktop #2 is 1920x1200.
Windows 7 guest running on the large desktop #2 reports maximum resolution of 1280x1024 when resized or fullscreened. Interestingly, it resizes properly when the VM window is maximized.

Problem also exists with VirtualBox 4.0.2 on Ubuntu 10.10 as host *and* guest.
Setup: first monitor has resolution 2560x1600 (Dual-Link DVI output), second has 1920x1080 (HDMI output). Both connected to *one* nVidia graphics card. Each monitor has its own desktop (no TwinView!). When going into fullscreen on the second screen/monitor using <host-key + f>, xrandr in the guest reports current resolution as 2560x1600 -- but should really report 1920x1080. Interestingly, the full-screen toolbar is correctly centered at 1080/2 and the GUI goes into full-screen on the correct screen (the second, when VirtualBox had been started on the second screen). However, icons on the guest's top toolbar, that are right-aligned, are not visible (ie. are outside of the "viewport"), so the guest's GNOME desktop has been resized at 2560x1600. The bottom toolbar isn't visible either in full-screen mode.
