Flickering During Compiz Animation Effects in Fullscreen Mode

For all my machines running Ubuntu 10.10 with Compiz effects enabled, animated effects such as "Scale" (OSX Expose-like effect) causes the flickering of the whole screen during the duration of the animation. This problems only arises for the fullscreen mode. Windowed and the Seamless mode do not experience flickering when the same effect is activated.
The flickering encountered sometimes shows the desktop beneath it as it flickers which is similar to an animation with a lowered frame rate.\
I did not encounter this problem in VBox 3.2.10.
Ubuntu 10.10 Guest in Windows 7 x64 Host.
