#7729 closed defect (fixed)

VBoxManage does not show NIC type in showvminfo --machinereadable => Fixed in SVN

Description (last modified by Frank Mehnert)

I'm using VBoxManage --nologo showvminfo --machinereadable <uuid> to get configuration information. It seems to echo the arguments in VBoxManage modifyvm reasonably well, except nictype<N> (the type of controller) doesn't seem to have an equivalent.

VBoxManage showvminfo --details shows the information, but parsing that is a bit harder. It'd be really nice if I could use --machinereadable.

Thank you!

And the first fix was not correct but it should now be really fixed, see here.
