Description (last modified by )
I'm using Virtual Box 3.2.8. with VM Virtual Box Guest Additions under Ubuntu Linux ver. 10.04. Guest OS in this Virtual Box is Windows XP SP3. Now the bug: after certain period of inactivity the guest OS (Windows XP) "looses" the USB keyboard, i.e. one cannot type anything. The keyboard does not respond to any key strokes.
As a workaround I minimize the whole Virtual Box window and then restore it. After this manipulation the keyboard becomes functional again. I reproduced this bug on several keyboards, including a PS/2 keyboard, too.

No response, closing.
This sounds like a known problem in which xscreensaver and GNOME screensaver become active and remove the keyboard focus from the VirtualBox window. Could you see if disabling the screen saver on your host system makes a difference?
