GUI/MaxGuestResolution doesn't have any effect

Despite setting GUI/MaxGuestResolution to 1024,768, the guest OS is still able to switch to 1280x1024

There are no guest additions installed

Guest: OpenSolaris b134
Host: MandrivaLinux 2010

Please note that as per the description in the user manual, this feature only works when Guest Additions are installed.
