I installed a fresh ubuntu guest.
When I click on ""Install Guest Additions"" in the Devices menu I see
the VboxGuestAdditions.iso CD checked under Devices->CD/DVD devices
but the CD is not mounted on the guest.

When I reboot the guest (no need to restart the VM) the CD is mounted and I can install guest additions.

Even if a previous version of guest additions was installed the CD is not mounted without a reboot.
