[WinXP] Sometimes the last shutdown was not properly

Description
Virtual machine: XP Pro SP2 (german), CPU: Athlon64 X2 4400+
Sometimes, after I restarted my machine in the prescribed way (via Start menu, shutdown->restart), XP tells me after the reboot, that the last "shutdown" was not properly and I have to choose some out of "Start normal", "Start last working configuration"...
When and why it occures, don't know. Perhaps I can add a screenshot to this item later.
