Tried a clean XP guest installation with 3.2.0 additions with Visual Studio C++ Express 2010. When VS2010 starts, there is one resize to a small window and back to normal size. After that VS2010 works and a new start does not show any resizes anymore.

Do you have any other software in the guest, which may interfere with the video mode setting?

Today i tried to install VS2010 Express on a fresh XP x86+Guest Additions (no other software installed). It worked fine. Then i upgraded to VS2010 Pro. It worked fine. At least i have done an Upgrade to VS2010 Ultimate which is my actual licence. Now Express and Ultimate start a resize loop again. Maybe there is a coherence with: Ticket #6744

I noticed that in some cases it does not crash when i close it fast enoug. For example with the the Shutdown Signal. When VS2010 is closed fast enough, the resize loop stops.

Could you provide us the virtual disk image with the XP guest which show the problem? If yes, please send me an email to Vitali.Pelenjow at sun dot com and I'll send you the server address where the guest can be uploaded.

Update: The resize loop does not exist if i use virtualbox 3.2.0 and the guest additions 3.1.6. After i update the guest additions to 3.2.0 it happens as described above. Mr Pelenjow, i already contacted you via e-mail. If you provide me the information, i will upload my image. Thank you for the great work.
