VM freezes when disconnecting USB Sony Ericsson mobile phone

Hello,
Here's my config: Host: Ubunutu 9.10 64 bit Guest: Windows XP
I can connect my mobile phone (Sony Ericsson W995) to my VM to manage the device without any issue. When I disconnect the device (unplug cable), the VM freezes. I tried sending pausing/resuming the VM, replugging the device, sending the shutdown signal but without success.
The only way to get out of this situation is to reset the VM.
