Ideally you release your bits in conjunction with the `gold release' This means you have to test your bits before the O/S is released. ;)

Hi Michael,
I may be able to test it
I'm running 3.1.6' Can I easily [1] downgrade from
3.2.0 beta 1' should `3.2.X' have a problem? I use VBox to run Windows-only VPN software, among other things, so I can't afford to be out for too long. :)
[1] - what I consider `easy' would be copying .xml files, re-installing RPM's. Ideally, I couldn't afford any data-loss. :]

If that is a production machine, you might prefer to wait a bit, as the changes were backported to the 3.1 series, so any future 3.1 releases should contain them too.

Hi Michael,
I upgraded to `3.1.8 r61349' and the problem still exists. I re-installed the Guest Additions (twice. :) and no mouse integration.
Please let me know what additional data you'd like me to gather and post.
Cheers, -pablo

Please attach the /var/log/Xorg.0.log of your guest to this ticket. As well as /var/log/vboxadd-install.log.

Just getting an ISO to install it here and test. I am downloading the GNOME live CD - please let me know if you are using KDE.

Hi Michael,
I'm using KDE.
I also have the .vdi I'm more than happy to bzip2 and make available. Uncompressed it's ~14 GiB.
Thank you!

I am running openSUSE 11.3 RC1 currently on 3.1.6 but have been up to VBox 3.2.4.
I believe the guest additions issue is actually connected to openSUSE using xorg v7.5 and I have yet to see that supported in the change log. VBox 3.2.0 did fix a similar issue with Fedora 13 which was using 7.4 (reported for version 3.1.6 but not fixed until v3.2.0)

VBox 3.2.6 additions work fine with openSUSE 11.3, closing.
Of course it may fail... no one targets unreleased OSes :)
