dladm fails on OpenSolaris 2009.06 guest — at Initial Version

Hi,
I'm running VBox 3.1.4 on Windows XP SP3. I created an OSol 2009.06 guest and tried to run dladm. It failed as shown below:
root@opensolaris:~# dladm create-vnic -l e1000g0 test dladm: invalid link name 'test'
Here's my ifconfig output...I disabled nwam service (cos i read some article about there being issues with nwam and dladm and vnics) and manually configured the nic.
