The same happens :
Environment : AMD Phenom 8650, 2Gb RAM, 160 HD, WinXPSP3 Host, VBox 3.1.4r57640.
I am Trying to install Virtual XP down Real XP with 512 Mb. Storage : first HD(vdi) - 4 GB, second HD(vdi) - 1 Gb Always return "hostmemorylow" after few minutes running.
Tried to install with 128Mb RAM and it worked !!! Very weird because I tought that XP wouldn't install with so low memory.
Others installed systems that worked one day but not anymore : Win98, W2000, Debian 5 Messed with some keys in the Settings but nothing seem to work. Tried video memory 14 Mb - no luck.
Tried Win98 with 128 Mb - It Runs. Debian 5 and W2000 - It didn't Hope someone helps...
