Modprobe vboxdrv failed - Ubuntu Feisty 7.04

Description

When I try to install VirtualBox 1.5.0 on Ubuntu Dapper 6.06 I get this error :

  • Modprobe vboxdrv failed. Please use 'dmesg' to find out why.
  • Starting VirtualBox kernel module vboxdrv FATAL: Module vboxdrv not found.

Did you actually read the error message? Please use 'dmesg' to find out why.' So please could you post the output of dmesg?

Resolution: → fixed
Status: new → closed

The dmesg output clearly tells you what to do. (disable NMIs) That's a known limitation and there's no way around it.
