Description
I am seeing slow disk I/O performance on VirtualBox 3.0.12 running on Mac OS 10.5.7. I posted to the forums, and I didn't get a solution. There is detailed information in my forum post here:

As of VBox 3.2.0, the VMM uses another technique to access the host disk. So it would be nice if you could redo your benchmark with VBox 3.2.8 (and use a SATA controller for your VM, see VM settings).
