Solaris 10 does not boot on VirtalBox 1.40

Solaris 10 will not boot on VBox 1.40. After loading the kernel, the boot process halts. Numerous reports on this issue at ​http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?p=1822#1822.

Solaris 10 was booting properly on VBox 1.38.

This is *NOT* correct.

Solaris 10 never worked on VirtualBox. Not on 1.3.x and not on 1.4.0.

I have Solaris 2005 release (original), 32-bit. Your Solaris might be different.

I have the same problem. The last thing I can see on the display:

And then the display freezes.

It boots fine with 1.5.0.

sandervl73: you are mistaken, my friend, Solaris 10 (2005) still stucks at the place mentioned above.

Host: Win XP SP2, Athlon XP, VBox 1.5.0.

OpenSolaris works here. Reports itself as 5.11.
