'connection reset by peer' message when using NAT
Reported by: | Sam Morris | Owned by: | |
---|---|---|---|
Component: | network/NAT | Version: | VirtualBox 3.0.2 |
Keywords: | Cc: | ||
Guest type: | Linux | Host type: | Windows |
Description
When using NAT via an "Edimax 802.11g Wireless PCI Card" (vendor 0x10ec product 0x8168) I continually get 'connection reset by peer' messages from processes with long-running TCP connections such as an openssh client running in order to perform tunnelling.
When using bridged network via my onboard RTL8168 ethernet card, the errors don't occur.
Unfortunately there is nothing network-related in the VirtualBox log and I'm not sure how to debug this further.
Host OS is Windows Vista Home Basic (64-bit) and the guest is Debian using Linux 2.6.30.
