Replying to Hachiman:
Have you managed to get crashdump
Yes, but I got a 3,7Gb dump file ... gzipped file is 510Mb ... do you want I try to upload it?

Could you please update your user info or drop me email at [vasily _dot_ levchenko _at_ Sun _dot_ COM]. Then I'll send you instruction where your crash dump can be uploaded.

I'm not sure ... hope may be helpful .... it seems the crash happens while the host has a VPN connection active (Cisco client).

Unfortunately also the test build crash. No VPN connection established at the moment of crash. Let me know if you want still the crash dump. Standard output, as the previous times, says:
VirtualBox(545,0xb0316000) malloc: * mmap(size=16777216) failed (error code=12) * error: can't allocate region * set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug VirtualBox(545,0xb0316000) malloc: * mmap(size=16777216) failed (error code=12) * error: can't allocate region * set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug VirtualBox(545,0xb0316000) malloc: * mmap(size=16777216) failed (error code=12) * error: can't allocate region * set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug VirtualBox(545,0xb0316000) malloc: * mmap(size=16777216) failed (error code=12) * error: can't allocate region * set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug VirtualBox(545,0xa0758720) malloc: * mmap(size=16777216) failed (error code=12) * error: can't allocate region * set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug ... ...
and so on till the crash.

Thank you for feedback. I'd appreciate you if you upload new crash dump.

Pls note that after VB crash, host turns to an unstable status and I need to force quit all other applications and restart the system. Sometimes hard reset is needed.

VBox 3.0.4 doesn't fix the problem. Do you need new crash dump or some other info?

Please reopen if still relevant with VBox 3.1.8 / 3.2.4.

Installed version 4.0.0 today...
VM only stays open for about 30 minutes at a time, then it crashes with the same error as described as this ticket. As such I re-open the ticket. Let me know if you prefer a new ticket instead.
In the console log : Jan 4 17:47:55 m VBoxHeadless[16149]: VBoxHeadless(16149,0xb03cf000) malloc: * mmap(size=1228800) failed (error code=12)\n* error: can't allocate region\n* set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug ...

Please check again with VBox 4.0.8. Your bug could be related to a memory leak and in the meantime we found and fixed some.
