Description (last modified by )
I have installed VBox 3.0 beta on Ubuntu 9.04 and enabled compiz. After installing Windows XP as guest, it worked well. After reboot of my host, I've got strange rendering problems, right after starting of the guest. You can see it on this screenshot http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/7203/vbox.png
Temporary solution is to start with VBoxSDL --startvm, then it works properly, without rendering problem.

Problem persist with Ubuntu 9.04 with final release of VirtualBox and compiz enabled.
However it is for me unclear if the problem with VirtualBox or Compiz:
workaround:
- install compizconfig-settings-manager
- start it as the user You want to run VirtualBox & Compiz (command line: ccsm)
- click "window management" => "Wundow rules"
- at line "No ARGB Visuals" type "class=VirtualBox"
- ensure that the plugin is activated ("Enable Windows Rules" on the left side)
- close ccsm (or play around with ccsm) and enjoy VirtualBox 3.0 with Compiz
