Description

I'm trying to install Solaris 10 MU7 5/10 in VBox 2.2.2 on Solaris 10/amd64 system. Guest Solaris hands after "Use is subject to license terms." and does't continue boot. I'm tried to install in 32 and 64 bit mode, checks and clear checkbox like acpi and other, but have no effect.

Hmmm... typing errors. I mean Solaris 10 MU7 5/09

Installing the 64-bit version is definitely not possible as long as you cannot enable VT-x/AMD-V for that VM. I'm not sure if your Opteron already has support for hardware virtualization though.

Apart from this, for Solaris you need much more RAM. Try with at least 768MB RAM or better with 1GB. This means that your host should have at least 2GB of RAM.

I'm not needed to have any graphics on virtual machine and 256Mb of memory is enough to core installation of solaris. I attach screen copy of bootlog with -asv params.

I tried to boot with Solaris 10 MU6 10/08 and have same problem. But Solaris 10 MU5 5/08 boot propertly without any problems.
