VirtualBox Hangs when running "The Sims" but is still usable via RDP.

Description
When running "The Sims" inside of the guest operating system (In this case, Windows XP) the local gui for VirtualBox hangs, as well as the main virtualbox window. The session is still perfectly usable however when connecting through the VRDP. I've been able to reproduce this problem 100% of the time with the Sims (the original, not Sims 2) which does not require 3d acceleration or anything of the like.

I have exactly the same issue in VirtualBox 3.0.4 (host Xubuntu, guest WinXp SP3, with GuestAdditions).
