Unable to complete launching CentOS 5.2 on an OpenSolaris host
Reported by: | cs | Owned by: | |

Component: | other | Version: | VirtualBox 3.0.6 |
Keywords: | Cc: | ||
Guest type: | Linux | Host type: | Solaris |
Description
Host OS: Opensolaris build 111. Guest OS: CentOS 5.2 x64, PBX in a Flash distro.
If I launch the guest via VirtualBox, it boots as expected and all services start.
If I launch the guest via VBoxHeadless, it appears to start but never reaches the point where network services are launched. It hangs somewhere in between. I cannot ping, RDP, or ssh to the guest when it is launched headless.
When I test with an Ubuntu server guest and Headless, it functions as expected.

Issue still occurs with latest VirtualBox for Solaris. Does not seem to matter what the guest OS is. I will attach a log.

To be 100% sure: You launch the same VM on the very same host, once using the GUI (which works) and once with VBoxHeadless (which doesn't work). Is that correct? Or does the host hardware differ somehow?

Closing as "invalid" since last update was over a year ago. Please reopen if the issue persists with latest version of VirtualBox.
You didn't attach any VBox.log file. Please reopen this ticket if this problem is still relevant with a recent release (3.0.4 or 3.0.6 Beta 1) of VirtualBox.
