NetBEUI broke v2.2
Reported by: | pmikep | Owned by: | |
---|---|---|---|
Component: | network/NAT | Version: | VirtualBox 2.2.0 |
Keywords: | netbeui, netbios, shared folder | Cc: | |
Guest type: | Windows | Host type: | Windows |
Description
XP host, W2K guest, working well w/ v2.1.4. Then upgraded to v2.2.
Shared machine folder is gone. Trying to create one causes immediate "vaporization" of the VBoxGUI. (i.e. "crash.")
Also, I had Adapter 2 set for NAT and NetBEUI on a home network, which worked well, allowing for the occasional UDP "miss" problem, documented in the manual. (p85) on upgrade to v2.2, I noticed the VBox check boxes disappeared from the Host Network settings. TCP still works fine on Adapter 1, but guest can't see outside for NetBEUI on Adapter 2.

Replying to pmikep:
More specifically, it's when I click on "Browse" for the shared machine folder that VB crashes / shuts down. No error message from Windows.
Could you please attach log files:
- for NetBEUI connection (let's say trying of establishment)
- for Shared folders crash.
for the last one I would recommend to split this bug report on two for NAT and Shared folders.

Could you please provide description of simplified test enviroment I can reproduce the issue? (server configurations, client environment)
