High CPU Load, Windows XP Host, Linux Guest

Cc: Guest type: Linux
Host type: Windows

After a fresh install of 2.1.4 on Windows XP SP3 as the host and installing CentOS 5.2 (from DVD with all standard options) the Host CPU takes 100% of a core when the guest is idle. With a Windows XP guest idle can vary from 4% to 10%.

As this is my first bug report is there anyting else I need to provide?

You need to recompile the CentOS kernel to not use a 1000 hz timer. Visit our forum and use the search option there. It has been discussed before.
