WinXP keeps restarting when install/uninstall softwares

Description
I'm using VBox 2.1.4 for Solaris amd 64 version. My WinXP guest OS keeps restarting when I try to install and uninstall softwares and Windows SP3.

I have a similar problem using Ubuntu 8.10 AMD64 host with VB 2.1.4. Windows XP continuously restarts after installing Sony Ericsson C702 drivers. Skype 3.8 crashes after installating. Skype 3.8 and the C702 worked under 2.1.2 with Ubuntu 8.04 AMD64 as host.

I reinstalled 2.2.0, this bug is still there. After that, I reinstall my Windows XP guest host, this issue disappear.
krielec, can you try to reinstall your guest addtions? Guess this issue maybe resolved.

Please could you be a bit more specific? Which application did you install in the guest? And after you installed the application, the guest restarted again and again?
And please attach a VBox.log file of such a session.
