Description
Hi,
I have had the following setup on my machine to be able to switch between different versions of VirtualBox easily:
local-admins-macbook-pro:Library lars$ pwd /Users/lars/Library local-admins-macbook-pro:Library lars$ ls -al total 40 . . . lrwxr-xr-x 1 lars staff 17 25 Jan 01:32 VirtualBox -> VirtualBox 2.0.6/ drwxr-xr-x 14 lars staff 476 25 Jan 02:49 VirtualBox 2.0.6 drwxr-xr-x 13 lars staff 442 18 Dez 11:56 VirtualBox 2.1.0 drwxr-xr-x 13 lars staff 442 24 Jan 23:28 VirtualBox 2.1.2 . . . local-admins-macbook-pro:Library lars$
Everything is working in that kind of setup so far but I noticed that I am no longer able to save snapshots, when trying I get the following error message:
Failed to create a snapshot of the virtual machine Windows XP Professional. Result Code: Unknown Status 0xBFFFCBD4
However, after reverting to a setup without a symlink (e.g. removing the symlink and renaming the directory "VirtualBox 2.0.6" to just "VirtualBox" everything works again

i see this same failures. my home directory is stored on an nfs filesystem, so for performance reasons i have created ~/.VirtualBox as a symlink to a local filesystem.
