VirtualBox VM "quit unexpectedly" while/after saving XP SP3 state

Description
I had just closed the VM's window, and when the sheet asked me what I wanted to do I said to save the state. It appeared that the save phase completed. Then the VirtualBox VM application crashed.
I'll include VBox.log and the CrashReporter output segment.
