Description
The Intel Pro/1000 MT and T network adapters fail Intel's standalone diagnostic tests.

The archive is unpacked under Windows and runs from a DOS command line. The program 'diags.exe' reports failures in:
- Register test
- Fifo test
- Internal loopback test
Further problems are demonstrated by Intel's packet driver for this adapter {{{ http://downloadcenter.intel.com/T8Clearance.aspx?url=/12586/eng/GigPktDrvr.exe&agr=Y&ProductID=871&DwnldID=12586&lang=eng }}}
The packet driver is unable to send any packets, e.g. using Crynwr's pktsend program http://www.crynwr.com/drivers/pktd11b.zip
.
Aside - AMD's packet driver for the PC-Net adapter works fine in the same DOS VM.
