Clipboard doesn't work with fresh Ubuntu 8.10 installlation

Description

With Win XP Pro host, and Ubuntu 8.10, copy/paste didn't work for text today. I'm not sure if it has ever worked, because I'm used to working clipboards. Restarted, still didn't work. I've set the clipboard to host->guest, restarted, and it worked. I then set it back to bidirectional, and now it works both ways again.

Weirdest thing is that I think it worked just after installing the guest additions.

clipboard not working

The VBox.log.2 log shows that the clipboard service on the guest was not started for some reason on that run of the VM. (If you're curious, the line "Guest Additions capability report: (0x5) seamless: yes, hostWindowMapping: no, graphics: yes" indicates that - the guest clipboard service is also responsible for seamless windows).

That's odd, because I was using a seamless windows in that session :S I'll see what happens tomorrow.
