Debian Lenny and Vboxdrv 2.6.26-1-686 status code: -1912 (VERR_VM_DRIVER_VERSION_MISMATCH)

After a recent apt-get upgrade I get this message:

VBox status code: -1912 (VERR_VM_DRIVER_VERSION_MISMATCH)

and couldn't start my virtual machine.

My kernel version is (uname -a): Linux CNSATM-Arthur 2.6.26-1-686 #1 SMP Thu Oct 9 15:18:09 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux The module of Virtualbox is (modinfo vboxdrv):

I'm sorry - The Host system is Linux and the Guest is Windows XP.

I'm 99% sure that with your last Debian upgrade you updated from VBox 1.6.2 to 1.6.6. So please install the corresponding 1.6.6 kernel modules or create them yourself (see /usr/share/doc/virtualbox-ose/README AFAIR).

Thanks for you answer. But I did an apt-get remove,purge and install on virtualbox-ose and virtualbox-ose-modules-2.6.26-1-686 in order to install the module 1.6.6 but the version that is downloaded is 1.6.2 ( virtualbox-ose-modules-2.6.26-1-686_2.6.26+1.6.2-dfsg-4_i386). I'm using the testing dist.

So you have to wait until the 1.6.6 modules appear in testing.
