    33Specifically, I created a fresh VM, chose Windows 11 as the OS, and, before the first boot attempt, ran:  VBoxManage modifyvm <vmname> --hpet on

    5 There were bad screen artifacts during the installation, but I guess-clicked my way through, rebooted, and now the VM is running fine without any screen artifacts.

    7 (Note that I also happened to upgrade the kernel and apply patches to my machine before trying this, so, technically, I don't know if it was "hpet on" that did it, but I would guess that this is the case.)
