#20677 new defect

kernel module isn't loaded because the VBox drive is not installed

Description

After several months that I used the version 5.2.6 (with Win 7 - 64), one month ago, I had some Windows problems due pc overheating and to the power source. Despite I solved any Windows failure (in particular those related to the desktop windows managing and to explorer block) Since that moment VM has stopped to run and every time I try tro run my virtual machine (Windows XP 32) it show the attached error, as in summary. I'm not expert and my attemp to unblock the situation, even by uninstalling and reinstalling VB, have not been successful. Thanks for all.

I accidentally attached the same log file twice: I tried to delete one, but I couldn't

xboxdrv is not loaded - see Oracle.pdf

Of course not, because you mistyped the name. It's vboxdrv.

I'm sorry for previous file Oracle.pdf with a wrong query: vboxdrv instead vboxdrv, nevertheless the result does not change...

I doubt any dev will look at this as 5.2.6 is old. I would suggest asking in the forum for help.

Also without VBoxHardening.log mentioned by the message I doubt anyone will be able to say much.
