SCREEN SHOT ON OPENING VIRTUAL BOX

  1. It seems that your CAPS LOCK is stuck, you should definitely change your keyboard. Typing in all caps is considered SHOUTING!
  1. It's better and faster, if issues get first addressed in the VirtualBox forums, a lot more eyes there. More than 95% of the issues are resolved in the forums, which keeps the developers focusing on the bug fixes and enhancements, and there is no need for another ticket to keep track of. For example, yours is not a bug and someone from the developers has to deal with it and close it as "Invalid".
  1. You need to go to the Media Manager and release the Guest Additions (GAs) ISO from the VM:

"File" » "Virtual Media Manager..." » "Optical Disks" » select the GAs ISO, "Release".

  1. This happened because you updated VirtualBox with the GAs CD still mounted in the VM. You need to get into the habit of removing the GAs CD after you're done with the installation.

THE "RELEASE" BUTTON IS NOT AVAILABLE TO USE IN THE "VIRTUAL MEDIA MANAGER" WHEN SELECTING AN ISO FILE. I DO NOT HAVE A GAS CD IN THE DRIVE.

BTW, I AM NOT SHOUTING; JUST DON'T LIKE USING THE SHIFT KEY.

DANNY.

Replying to dannyo1:

The "Release" button is not available to use in the "Virtual Media Manager" when selecting an ISO file. I do not have a GAs CD in the drive.

Then, and according to the picture you posted in your forums post, you need to press the "Remove" button.

BTW, i am not shouting; just don't like using the shift key.

Then engage/disengage the Caps Locks key. The fact remains that ALL CAPS looks like shouting, it doesn't look nice, and it's not respectful of the people that you're talking to and are trying to help you... ;)

The "Remove" button only removes them temporarily until you re-open the program; then they are still listed. Have not been able to remove the ISO's permanently. What do I do to get rid of the ISO's permanently? Thanks, Danny.

Please ask the questions in the forums if you can, for two reasons:

  1. We won't be bombarding the Bug Tracker (and the Developers) with troubleshooting messages.
  1. Other people that might have the same problem will benefit much more if the solution is in the forums. Users tend to search the forums much more compared to the Bug Tracker...

So, let's continue the discussion in the thread that you have opened, OK? https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=90808

Thanks...

I am working with forum but so for I have not gotten a solution for the problem. I have a machine that needs to be up and running; it has been down for a few days now since Windows 10 did the auto update. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Danny.
