Either your shell32.dll and comctl32.dll have been modified or the catalog files for the updates have been messed with. Either way try (re-)update the host or reinstall it.

Sorry I couldn't find this ticket, created a second #17266

I have re-installed on your laptop to clean Windows operating system Professional 64bit, then installed all the necessary drivers. No updates and antivirus software. after that I installed VirtualBox 5.2.0 r118431 (Qt5.6.2) create a new guest machine is WinXP 32bit. and the virtual machine does not start immediately.

VM not start: The virtual machine 'WinXP' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1). More details may be available in 'D:\Users\romall\VirtualBox VMs\WinXP\Logs\VBoxHardening.log'.

and yes, the folder "user" and "ProgramData" is moved to the disk D with dyle unattended.

"No updates" - can you update it and see if that helps?
