VBox crashes on my new installation of Debian Stretch amd64 as guest system. My host system is Win 8.1, amd64. The crash happens after the installation of the Virtualbox Guest Additions during booting the guest. It is a permanent fault and happens during every boot.

Appended is the Win error message as image (part of a screen dump).

I tried to enable Minidumps on Windows as described in <> but don't get a dump.

You might try the latest testbuild from here. There was an audio related crash fix after the 5.1.26 release.

Thanks for your help. I tried it but get the same error message (with different adresses). I used the existing virtual machine. Shall I try it with a new virtual machine?

Kind regards, Hans

hwkraus, no need to create a new VM. Could you attach a VBox.log file of the crashing VM session when you used the 5.1 test build?
