Description
I have just installed the VirtualBox and the Extension pack and want to proceed installing Linux Ubuntu 14.04.3 on a Virtual Machine. I connected the ubuntu-14.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso file in the VM storage. After also setting Networks/“Bridged Adapter” and "Shared Clipboard” plus “Drag’n’Drop” to "Bidirectional" I started the VM. After a short while a "VirtualBox - Guru Mediation" box poppped up informing me that "A critical error has occurred whle running the virtual machine and machine execution has been stopped."
I have not been able to find a way to get around this. I have tried to uninstall the VirtualBox several times without any success.
I am trying to install the VirtualBox and Linux Ubuntu 14.04.3 on a PC running Windows 8.1. A month ago I succesfully installed the VirtualBox and Linux Ubuntu 14.04.3 on a PC running Windows.
Does anybody have any suggestions on how to proceed?

Thanks for your suggestion. I downloaded the installation medium once again - I have now completed the installation without problems.
Never seen this problem. Ubuntu 14.04.x guests work fine here. Could you double-check that the installation medium is not corrupt?
